Wuligou Gr
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is at Zhazigou on the northern slope of southern mountain in Danghe, Gansu. The Wuligou Gr was named by No.2 Gansu Party of Regional Geological Survey in 1975, and was published by Gansu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources (1989). In 1980, Gansu Compiling Group for Regional Stratigraphic Scale renamed the Wuligou Gr the Yingou Gr. In 1989, Gansu Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources followed Zhao Fengyou's (1979) suggestion, and returned the Wuligou Gr.

Lithology and Thickness
The group is divided into three parts. Lower part is composed of intermediate basic volcanic rock. Middle part is represented by intermediate acid volcanic rock intercalated with limestone. Upper part is dominated by crystalline limestone. In the type area, The Wuligou Fm recorded a maximum thickness of 4844 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Covered lower boundary.
Upper contact
The Wuligou Gr is in fault contact with the overlying Yanchiwan Gr in the type section; but conformable elsewhere.
Regional extent
With a fault cutting, the Wuligou Gr has an exposed thickness of 689 m at Wuligou, and 513 m in Chaganburgas.

Fossils
The limestone in the middle part yields brachiopods Hesperonomia?, Toquimia, Syntrophopsis?, Syrtrophinella?, Tritoechia?, Anomalorthis?, Finkelnburgia and cephalopod Discoceras.
